Autopsy ordered for child who drowned in hotel pool, all circumstances of tragedy still being determined

(Patria) - After a police investigation, an autopsy has been ordered for the body of the child who drowned yesterday in a hotel pool in Ilidža, to determine the exact cause of death, it was confirmed today for Faktor by the Operational Center of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

The Operational Center could not provide further details about this tragedy.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, Mersiha Novalić, said that no one has been arrested in connection with this case, adding that police officers are still working to clarify all the circumstances that led to the tragic event.

- We cannot provide more information because it involves a minor child - she said.

Novalić confirmed yesterday after the tragedy that the Ilidža Police Station was notified at 3:30 PM that a child had died in the pool of a hotel in the Ilidža area, and that death was pronounced by a doctor from the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance at 4:40 PM.

Unofficially, it is mentioned that the child was five years old and that the parents were present at the pool.
