Collection of RTV fee along with electricity bills

Representatives of JP Elektroprivreda BiH and Public Services (BHRT and RTV Federation of BiH) signed a business Agreement on the collection of RTV fees through electricity bills, which will be shown on the bills for consumed electricity for the month of August 2017, reports Patria agency.

An identical business Agreement will be offered to other domestic electric utility companies, and a positive response is expected. By establishing such a system for collecting RTV fees, through a Business Cooperation Agreement with electric utility companies throughout BiH, public services of Bosnia and Herzegovina would, in the near future, be ready to respond to the technical-technological and program requirements of all residents of BiH, and the public broadcasting system, for the first time since its existence, would be placed on a financially sound basis with an independent and autonomous source of funding, as is the case in all developed democratic countries of the world.

By showing business readiness to join this model, JP EP BiH has demonstrated an exceptionally high level of social responsibility and created crucially important prerequisites for domestic companies, including EP BiH, to gain a stable and influential partner for the development of their future business activities within business-empowered Public Services of BiH.

Public services will inform citizens in a timely manner about the details of the transition to collecting RTV fees through electricity bills, with the note that the obligation to pay the current RTV fee is in effect until the official start of the application of this collection model, up to and including the month of July 2017.
