Attack on police in Bosanska Krupa qualified as terrorism

(Patria) - Following the attack that occurred last night at the Police Station in Bosanska Krupa, when a minor (born in 2009) attacked two police officers with a knife, one of whom lost his life, and the other was injured, the act has been qualified as the criminal offense of terrorism.

This information was confirmed to Faktor by the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton.

- The investigation lasted from 10 PM to 00:30 AM and was conducted by members of the Criminal Police Sector and the on-duty cantonal prosecutor. After the investigation, the prosecutor stated that this act has the characteristics of a criminal offense under Article 201 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, specifically terrorism - Adnan Beganović, spokesperson for the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, confirmed to us.

He added that the police officer who survived the attack underwent surgery during the night at the Cantonal Hospital "Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić" in Bihać and that his current health condition is stable.

Unfortunately, his colleague, who had more severe injuries, died during transport to the hospital.

It has been unofficially confirmed to Faktor from sources close to the investigation that the killed police officer is Ozren Maran, and his colleague Avdo Hasanović was injured.

For now, it is known that the minor was alone at the time of the attack, and whether he acted entirely alone and what the exact motives for the attack were will be determined by the ongoing investigation.
