Grandmother Muniza Oprašić (71), a returnee to the village of Okruglo near Višegrad, continues to struggle with a legal absurdity according to which she must pay over 20,000 KM to Mladen Jokić, who illegally used her house from 1995 to 2002.
Namely, according to the decision of the Basic Court in Višegrad, judge Slavica Kovačević, and the notice dated 24.09.2014, Grandmother Muniza will have to pay 8,816.26 KM, as well as additional court costs and interest exceeding 12,000 KM to Mladen Jokić.
The notice (within eight days) requires the submission of a decision from the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (PIO), which should confirm that she is the holder of her husband's pension, from which 100 KM will be deducted each month for the Jokić family for enforcement proceedings. Grandmother Muniza is outraged by the verdict.
- I no longer have the strength to endure injustice. Why didn't anyone pay me rent while they were staying in my house? While I lived as a tenant and refugee in Sarajevo, they managed my property. And now, when I have finally returned to my hearth, where I want to find some peace and quiet, they harass me daily with lawsuits - says Muniza Oprašić.
In a letter received by the Patria News Agency, they remind that Grandmother Muniza was expelled from Višegrad with her family during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of ethnic cleansing. During her exile in Sarajevo, Mladen Jokić and his family illegally moved into her house, and during their stay in Grandmother's devastated house, they unilaterally renovated the windows and doors.
After Grandmother Muniza returned as a returnee to her family home in Višegrad, Mladen Jokić initiated legal proceedings seeking compensation for the invested funds in renovation. The court proceedings culminated in an absurd verdict in favor of Jokić.
Otherwise, Grandmother Muniza lives on a 310 KM pension left by her deceased husband, and 100 KM will be deducted from it to settle the "debt" to Jokić.
Thus, Grandmother Muniza will welcome Kurban Bayram in tears and without peace at her hearth.
