Deliberate arson: House and business premises set on fire

In the night from Monday to Tuesday, a private house and a business premises were deliberately set on fire in Ilidža and Novi Grad, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

At around 04:50, the IV Police Station was notified that a fire broke out on a house owned by P.C. from Sarajevo in Dr. Atif Purivatra Street. The fire was extinguished by members of the Sarajevo Canton Fire Brigade. No injuries were reported, while material damage was caused to the building.

An investigation established that the fire was caused by the use of an open flame by an unknown person.

On the same morning at around 05:45, the III Police Station was notified that a fire broke out at the UR Fast Food "Apetito", used by Dž.E. from Sarajevo, in Ivo Andrić Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality. The fire was extinguished by members of the Sarajevo Canton Fire Brigade. No injuries were reported, while material damage was caused to the building.

An investigation established that the fire was caused by the use of an open flame by an unknown person. Police officers continue their work on clarifying and documenting the said criminal offense, as well as identifying and finding the perpetrator.
