After introduction of trusteeship in Tuzla, Kukić dismisses Prime Minister Gutić

TUZLA, (Patria) - An emergency session of the Assembly of the Tuzla Canton (TK) has been called for Saturday, February 17, at which Prime Minister Bego Gutić could be dismissed. The session was called at the request of one-third of the deputies of the TK Assembly, and as stated on the TK Assembly website, the agenda will be proposed at the session itself. 

The emergency session is the result of a split in the Party of Democratic Action in TK and is a consequence of the removal of Mirsad Kukić from the position of president of the Cantonal Board of SDA Tuzla Canton. The Presidency of SDA on Wednesday evening made a decision to introduce a trusteeship in the KO TK SDA and appointed Amir Fazlić, a state parliamentarian, as trustee. 

As sources of Patria from the top of SDA state, Kukić has secured a majority in the TK Assembly that will dismiss Prime Minister Gutić. The rift between Gutić and Kukić has been simmering for a longer period, and the president of SDA Bakir Izetbegović has been informed about it on several occasions. Interestingly, Izetbegović described the current situation within SDA, especially in Sarajevo and Tuzla, as a "purification of the party" before the elections.
