After claiming they voted against by mistake, Arnaut reintroduces bill to reduce severance pay

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The proposal to limit severance pay for parliamentarians, ministers, and members of the BiH Presidency to 10,000 KM was not adopted at the last session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, as it did not receive support from any representative from Republika Srpska in the BiH Parliament. 

The proposal to reduce the maximum severance pay from 35,000 to 10,000 KM failed because 20 MPs voted against it, while 15 were "for", with 4 abstentions. The proposer, Damir Arnaut, an independent MP, has resubmitted the same proposal for procedure, and it will be on the agenda of the session on February 4.

As he stated in the explanation, some MPs said they voted against by mistake, so he is now proposing the same law again. We remind you that SNSD stated they would not support it on principle, while PDP claimed it was a mistake.

The proposal was not supported by any of the three caucuses from Republika Srpska, and those who voted against were: Nebojša Radmanović, Adil Osmanović, Nenad Nešić, Jakov Galić, Snežana Novaković Bursać, Obren Petrović, Dragan Bogdanić, Sanja Vulić, Ljubica Miljanović, Mira Pekić, Branislav Borenović, Dragan Mektić, and Mirko Šarović.

Several MPs from SDA, SDP, DF, SP, as well as SBB, voted for this proposal, while Arnaut, Nenad Stevandić (US), and Mirsad Kukić (PDA) were not present at the session.
