After trolleybuses, trams, and minibuses: 10 new buses are also coming to Sarajevo

(Patria) - Minister of Transport of Sarajevo Canton Adnan Šteta and director of the company "Sejari" Hasan Sarajlija today signed the Contract for the procurement and delivery of 10 new buses, after the completed public procurement.

- Another important day for public transport in Sarajevo. After new trolleybuses, trams, and minibuses, new buses are also arriving in Sarajevo. We are procuring 10 new buses, which will surely change the quality of life and everyday life of our citizens.

We faced great challenges in bus transport, which we successfully resolved, but with this procurement, we will significantly improve bus transport - said Šteta.

The new ISUZU buses will be equipped with modern equipment, will have air conditioning, and will be adapted for persons with disabilities. The maximum passenger capacity will be 96, with 29 seats. The buses are EURO 6, and their color will be yellow, like the color of the new trams, trolleybuses, and minibuses.

- Our commitment to renewing the fleet is visible from year to year. In the period 2022-2026, we will have 85 new vehicles, purchased with the money of all our citizens.

Great things have been done, there are many activities we are working on, and we will not stop there, more work awaits us until we achieve our goals, which is for Sarajevo to have the best transport in the region - concluded Šteta.

The delivery deadline for the new buses is eight months. The total value of the signed contract is 5,563,350.00 KM with VAT.
