After the hearing, the Court of BiH decided: Radončić remanded in custody

The Court of BiH ordered Fahrudin Radončić into custody after today's hearing, deciding on the request of the BiH Prosecutor's Office to impose custody due to violation of prohibition measures, it has been confirmed to Patria from the Court of BiH.

Radončić's defense announced an appeal.

At the hearing on the BiH Prosecutor's Office's proposal to impose custody on Fahrudin Radončić, accused of conspiracy to commit criminal offenses, obstruction of justice, and abuse of influence, the BiH Prosecutor's Office bases its request on the violation of certain prohibition measures, stating that Radončić immediately addressed journalists upon his release from custody and also violated the measure of not leaving his residence by celebrating the lifting of custody on the 31st floor, which is not his home, reports a reporter for the BiH news agency Patria.

Judge Minka Kreho requested that video recordings be played and that the Prosecutor's Office explain them. In the first video played, Radončić told journalists that his arrest was a provocation and that the entire process was politically fabricated, which, according to the Prosecutor's Office, constitutes a violation of the prohibition measures related to communication with all representatives of the print and electronic media.

Additionally, a video of the celebration on the 31st floor, which is a restaurant in the Avaz Twist Tower, was played. The prohibition measures state that Radončić must not leave his home, i.e., the 33rd floor where his apartment is located.

Radončić's defense immediately stated that this proposal comes from an unauthorized proposer, because in accordance with Article 126, paragraph f of the Criminal Code of BiH, it is specified that the authorities controlling the observance of prohibition measures submit reports and any violations to the Court of BiH, but no such reports were filed, except for a report on police visits.

Asim Crnalić, Radončić's lawyer, stated that on 17.02, when the Court of BiH's decision on prohibition measures was made and Radončić was released, Radončić himself did not read the Court's decision and was released from custody without the presence of any lawyer.

- When I submitted my passport and left the Court building, I went outside and saw a lot of journalists. I asked them if Radončić had left. They informed me that he had left alone without a lawyer and had given a statement. I immediately headed towards the tower and went to the 33rd floor, but I didn't find him there. I went down to the 31st floor, informed Radončić that he could not be there, and he immediately left the restaurant and went with me to his apartment, which he has never left since that moment, as evidenced by the 36 police reports – said Crnalić.

Fahrudin Radončić, in his address, emphasized that the BiH Prosecutor's Office has a tendency towards him to present him as unreliable and to turn him from a respected politician and industrialist into an ordinary criminal.

- That is why this is a politically motivated process and driven by the needs of one person who has imagined that he is leading two parties – said Radončić, adding that upon leaving the Court of BiH, he only managed to read the title of the decision.
Radončić also said that when he entered the elevator, he did not press 31, and at that moment, he did not know at all what the prohibition measures entailed.

Judge Minka Kreho is expected to make a decision soon, as at the end of the hearing, she asked Radončić to remain in the detention unit until her final decision.
