After Čampara's resignation, SDA remained silent, receiving support from opposition colleagues

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Following the resignation of Aljoša Čampara from the position of SDA Presidency member, reactions from his colleagues from other political parties followed.

Elmedin Konaković, a long-time former member of SDA and president of People and Justice since 2018, told N1 today that he was not surprised by Aljoša Čampara's move.

"I am not particularly surprised because there is a continuity of pointing out bad processes within SDA, and on the other hand, I saw that SDA responded to him with attacks and insinuations. I am not surprised, but I did not have any specific information either. It seems to me that it is the same matrix, all of us who tried to change something experienced attacks. Čampara is neither the first nor the last," said Konaković, emphasizing that it is obvious that things are not right in SDA.

Given that the question is whether Čampara will now participate in the new majority in the KS Assembly, Konaković said that there are enough votes without Čampara and without SBB.

Saša Magazinović from SDP reacted on Facebook regarding Čampara's resignation.

"Without delving into the political views and past activities of Aljoša Čampara (I agreed with some, absolutely not with others), it should be clearly stated that this is an example of how parties discard, to put it more precisely, push away, politically capable and competent people. Their places are taken by far less capable, often politically semi-literate individuals, without their own stance, but loyal to someone and something. This happens for reasons that are anything but in the interest of the party, its members, or even society as a whole. As a rule, parties pay a high political price for such moves, which will be the case this time as well," Magazinović stated.

Colleague from the KS Assembly Igor Stojanović (SDP BiH) pointed out that Čampara was the only one from SDA to react to the attack by Bakir Izetbegović's chief of staff against him, and he is grateful for that.

"When the chief of staff compared me to Dodik, Čampara claimed that he knew that was the stance of SDA, and that he would leave that party immediately. And then I tried to explain to him that, unfortunately, that is also the stance and policy of most people in SDA. Today, Aljoša Čampara left the SDA Presidency due to nepotism, corruption, and bad policy. He has not yet left SDA. Whatever happens in the future related to the KS Government, it is clear that for 25 years of failed policy in which SDA was an unavoidable actor, we must offer better and higher quality solutions. Better than the "six-party" government was. And policies that will ensure that how you do things is more important than what your name is, what nation you are, or even what party you belong to. What your name is, what nation and faith you are are policies that want to dismantle BiH. A new generation and new political forces must offer a path of agreement, development, and work results. That is the only way forward," Stojanović stated.

Political analyst Ivana Marić was among the first to react to Aljoša Čampara's resignation, congratulating him on his
"brave move."

"We are used to politicians changing sides to gain some benefit, but there are few who are willing to step out of their comfort zone and give up benefits. P.S. There is no longer any doubt that the "five-party" coalition will take over the KS Government from the SD(F)A coalition," Marić stated.
