After new demands: IMF against additional allocations for veteran categories

Federal Minister for Veterans and Disabled Veterans of the Liberation War Salko Bukvarević held a meeting with the International Monetary Fund Mission for Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Mission Chief Nadeem Ilahi.
Key results of the review of veteran and disability benefits, budget execution for benefits for war veterans and holders of war recognitions, and the implementation of the Law on Early and More Favorable Retirement of Members of the Defense-Liberation War were discussed, it was announced from Bukvarević's cabinet.

Given that veteran categories have submitted new demands to the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs related to rights from the Law on the Rights of Defenders and their Families, the working material of the Law on the Rights of Demobilized Soldiers, and the Law on Early and More Favorable Retirement, Bukvarević informed the IMF mission that these demands will be resolved through internal redistribution from savings of existing funds, and that the rights of veteran categories will not be diminished.

The IMF stated that the current level of budget funds allocated to veteran categories in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot be increased.
