(Patria) - After the violent demolition of curbs on the recently renovated roadway in Braće Mulić street in Dobrinja, today the contractor, with police assistance, reinstalled the curbs and restored the roadway to its original state.
These are curbs built as part of the project "Rehabilitation of roads in Mimara Sinana Boulevard and Braće Mulić streets, L=1.780 meters", financed by the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, the Directorate for Roads, and the Ministry of Transport of KS, with a total value of nearly 5,000,000 KM.
The curbs, which prevent motor vehicles from entering the pedestrian area, were violently broken by irresponsible individuals to allow motor vehicles to enter the pedestrian path, i.e., the self-service car wash, even though this facility has an access from another street.
"We call on citizens and users of business premises to respect the newly built road infrastructure, and not to endanger the safety of pedestrians and other road users with their actions.
The Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo will, in cooperation with the competent inspection and utility services and police authorities, take all available measures to prevent further damage to public areas and improper use of pedestrian paths," announced the press service of the Municipality of Novi Grad.
