After mobile phones, Zvekir will adorn shirts and scarves

(Patria) - Zvekir is a metal ring attached to the front door, made in the shape of a ring or hoop. It points to the doors of Bosnia, wide open for centuries to all well-intentioned visitors. Once it replaced the doorbell, announcing guests. Today, in the age of modern doorbells, it has lost its original purpose, but still retains a strong symbolism.

It is precisely this symbolism that inspired a young married couple, a familiar face from N1 television, journalist Minela Jašar - Opardija and her husband Naim - an IT expert.

After designing and successfully launching Zvekir – a mobile phone accessory, they wanted to round off the story that will continue to preserve and nurture Bosnian-Herzegovinian tradition.

They decided on unusual small but important fashion accessories that give a distinctive stamp to clothing, cufflinks for shirts and brooches for scarves.

"The question that followed immediately after the launch of Zvekir – the mobile phone accessory was 'What's next'. It was not easy to respond equally creatively to the demanding wishes and needs of the market, but taught by experience with the first product, we knew that elements of Bosnian-Herzegovinian tradition must remain in focus," they said.

They decided to offer fashion accessories with which all those who are not blind followers of trends, those who pay special attention to their appearance and fashion expression, can identify.

Naim Opardija admits that he himself was not entirely sure how often cufflinks are a present detail in men's fashion, however he is sure that they have still retained their quiet, tacit right for certain occasions.

"And that is every more festive occasion, especially a wedding. A top suit, matching shirt, tie, scarf or bow tie require minimal details, but details with style. Just such a detail are cufflinks that can be part of your family heritage or the heritage of the country you live in. And Zvekir truly is that," explains Naim.

Their wish is that cufflinks and scarves decorated with the symbol of Bosnia and Herzegovina become a recognizable fashion accessory at business meetings, weddings, proms, occasions that are important.

"Let the symbolism of BIH remain present in every important occasion, and the money in BIH too," Minela and Naim say jokingly, who once again entrusted production and packaging to domestic manufacturers.
