Hands Reinstalled on Sacred Heart Cathedral Clocks After Two Months

(Patria) - After two months, the hands have been reinstalled on the clocks of the Sacred Heart Cathedral. We remind you that due to strong winds, a hand fell off one clock in February, but the original hand has been preserved.

The Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, announced that the City of Sarajevo covered all costs for the clock repair at the Cathedral.

The Sacred Heart Cathedral has been declared a national monument since 2005, and the protection measures established by the Law on the Implementation of Decisions of the Commission for the Protection of National Monuments, established according to Annex 8 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, are applied.

Only restoration and conservation works on the national monument are permitted with the approval of the federal ministry responsible for spatial planning and the expert supervision of the competent heritage protection service at the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina level.
