After Čivić, leadership of 20 local committees in Zvornik leaves SDA

MP of the Homeland Coalition in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nedim Čivić left the SDA, after the party leadership introduced trusteeship in several municipal organizations, including Zvornik, where Čivić was the president of the municipal organization of this party.

Čivić told the Patria agency that he was practically expelled from the party, but that after that, the leaderships of about 20 local SDA committees from Zvornik also left the party. 

Čivić achieved the best election result among all Bosniak candidates in the RS region in the 2014 local elections, with nearly 5,000 votes in electoral unit seven. He is the only Bosniak MP directly elected to the NSRS by the citizens. 

"We do not understand the policy of SDA president Bakir Izetbegović," Čivić told Patria. He points out that in the elections two years ago, he and his associates achieved an excellent election result, but despite that, he was punished, while federal minister for displaced persons Edin Ramić remains in the ministerial position despite a poor result in Osmaci.

"We had promises from Izetbegović that this would not happen. Then I open the media and see that it was not respected." Čivić accuses Minister Ramić, Dževad Mahmutović, and the vice-president of the BiH entity RS Ramiz Salkić of working for their own positions, but not for the returnees, who live in difficult conditions. They are fighting for their own positions in Sarajevo. He is harsh and says he no longer wants to remain silent. SDA buys the votes of Bosniaks in RS with budget money.

"We will do everything so that returnees are no longer represented by those who do not live in this part of the country," says Čivić, adding that he is tired of those who talk about the problems of returnees from Ferhadija or Alipašina street in Sarajevo, while they have settled their families in the Federation.

"I am a pioneer in the SDA, but the path this party has taken goes against all political logic. My associates and I will go our own political way," says Čivić, adding that their position is now clearer than ever. They are willing to cooperate only with political parties whose interest is the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its peoples.

The SDA did not provide an explanation as to why they dismissed a member who achieved outstanding results. Instead of Čivić, trustee Samir Bačevac was appointed head of the SDA in Zvornik, writes Patria.
