AFTER APPEAL, LIVNO RESIDENTS ABROAD COLLECT AID FOR CANTONAL HOSPITAL

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - We have no other choice but to address you like this in these difficult times for every resident of BiH and the world, and to ask you to take us seriously. The hospital has absolutely no conditions to defend itself even minimally from the coronavirus, let alone to face it prepared and on its feet," reads a dramatic appeal received by Patria from Livno.

The first to respond to the call for help were Livno residents living abroad, who organized the collection of aid for the Cantonal Hospital "Dr. fra Mihovil Sučić".

A document signed by the hospital director, Ivan Cikojević, states that "donors, through the Facebook group 'Pomoć bolnici Livno' (Aid to Livno Hospital), whose administrators are Mario Šandrk, Ana Tokić, Mateo Dolić, and Luka Novokmet, in coordination with the Moto Club 'Vukovi' from Livno, are collecting funds for protective equipment for doctors who are on the front lines of defense."

Monetary donations are being collected via a PayPal account under the username 'lui365', Luka Novokmet.

The hospital supported the initiative with a message expressing appreciation for the goodwill and generosity.

Finally, they request that funds collected in these campaigns not be paid into the giro account of the Cantonal Hospital in Livno, but to the aforementioned PayPal account.

The hospital also provided a list of necessary equipment.
