The oldest found photograph of Konjic was taken before 1883

The oldest found photograph of the city of Konjic was taken before 1883. It does not feature the barracks on Musala, which the Austro-Hungarian authorities built from 1883 to the end of 1884, nor the Orthodox church which was built in 1886, writes the Patria news agency.

The author of the photograph is Franc Laforets, a renowned photographer of that era.

The owner of the original photograph is Zvonko Zebić from Konjic, a collector who has lived in Germany for over 40 years and buys old photographs of Konjic at European collector meetings.

Franc Laforest also took the first photographs of Livno and Mostar around 1870.
