The Most Beautiful Tourist Picture from Mostar: Numerous Divers to Show Their Courage

The 451st jumps from the Old Bridge, a sports and tourist event that locals and many tourists who come to watch the divers particularly look forward to, will be held in Mostar today. Photographs of Mostar's leaps go around the world every year, and this Herzegovinian city records a constant increase in visits, Patria reports.  

The jumps begin at 4:30 PM, and a large audience is expected on the banks of the Neretva. Given that an orange meteoalarm is in effect due to extreme temperatures that will exceed 40 degrees in Herzegovina, it is recommended to protect your head and drink enough water. 

The exact number of divers who will compete in two traditional disciplines - swallow dive and feet-first jump - will be known just before the start of the event after a medical examination. Expectations are that the number will be between 50 and 60 divers, both from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. 

The president of the Divers' Club, Semir Drljević – Lovac, said that all necessary preparations for the competition, from organizational to security, have been made to ensure everything goes smoothly. 

The jury that will evaluate the divers consists of: the greatest legend of Mostar jumps Emir Balić, Mirsad Deda Pašić, a long-time champion of feet-first jumps, Enver Novaković, sports worker and former diver, Benaid Kalajdžić, a long-time diver, and Alica Jakirović, artist and diver.

Drljević particularly emphasizes that there is great interest from the media and film crews for this year's jumps, so three international TV crews will film reports about the jumps and divers. 

After the end of the competition and the award ceremony for the best divers, a torchlight procession will be held on the Old Bridge at 10 PM.
