Coldest winter in 100 years: Europe to be ice-bound for five months

This year's winter will be the coldest in the last 100 years and will affect a large part of the Old Continent, British meteorologists announce, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

Europe will be buried under large amounts of snow, accompanied by very low temperatures. For as long as five months, at least according to British meteorologists, an Arctic winter will grip the continent. They announce that the first icy wave can be expected as early as this month.

For January, a record low temperature of -27 degrees Celsius is forecast, across a large part of the continent. The sudden cold snap will also bring snow, which will create a snow cover in the mountains. Lower-lying areas will wait for white flakes until the second half of November.
