The Best Part of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Authorities in Goražde First Solved Unemployment, Now Invest in Healthcare

In Goražde, they first eradicated unemployment, and now they want to bring the health situation in the city to an enviable level, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Local authorities in Goražde set aside 4,000 KM on Thursday for the Institute of Public Health of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde, and asked their experts to examine all children in kindergartens in the Goražde area. The municipality states that they want to find out if any child is suffering from streptococcus, which is currently quite prevalent in kindergartens in other cities.

If any of the children from Goražde test positive, they will be provided with adequate treatment. In this way, not only will the sick child and their parents be relieved, but other children will also be protected from possible infection, i.e., the spread of an epidemic.

Part of the money was allocated by the authorities in Goražde for checking the safety of water at public fountains, which will prevent the occurrence of waterborne epidemics.

In recent years, Goražde has become one of the most desirable municipalities to live in throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily due to the large number of employed people who work in major companies in the city such as Prevent and Bekto Preciza, which in turn have contracts with the world's largest corporations in the automotive industry, such as Mercedes, BMW, VW...

From the Chamber of Commerce of the BPK, they say they are recording a constant decline in the number of unemployed. At the beginning of last year, the number of unemployed was slightly over 3,500 people. That number would be even smaller, but now entire families from neighboring cities are coming to Goražde in search of work.

Now that they have raised the economy to an enviable level, the municipal authorities want to invest in the health system of their community, and they also announce the expansion of other spheres of society, primarily sports and culture, writes Patria.
