Protests announced for February 3rd in front of the BiH Parliament

(Patria) - If the High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt does not impose technical amendments to the Election Law, as he promised, protests will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, starting at 12:00 PM on the plateau in front of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

The organizer of the protests is the Association of Citizens ReSTART, which states that they hope Schmidt will not fall for the blackmail of SNSD leader Milorad Dodik and HDZ leader Dragan Čović.

One of them, they remind, is already on the blacklist, while the other is a candidate for the blacklist.

"The Troika (NiP, SDP, and NS), at the last moment, before Čović and Dodik block everything in the House of Peoples (and show who is not for the EU path), are bringing them back into negotiations, thereby including topics that were not topics at all. You need to listen to yourselves and fulfill Your promise to the citizens of BiH (the deadline expired two weeks ago), and impose only those amendments to the Election Law that you requested, which are technical, because they restore integrity to the electoral process," they emphasize.

They add that such amendments would bring BiH back into the game for the EU, although ReSTART is skeptical about what BiH actually awaits in "Orban's EU".

The NATO path for the citizens of BiH is the only unquestionable one, and ReSTART, they emphasize, supports this 100 percent.

"ReSTART BiH gives full support to the High Representative to impose only the technical amendments to the Election Law, as he requested from the BiH Parliament. It would be even better if he included 'compulsory voting' in them as the only chance to engage citizens who have abstained, as they are the only force that can make a difference, i.e., change this perverse value system in our country. Only with your action, which you promised, will you remove the reason for the protests, which we announced for February 3rd," they concluded.
