Reconstruction of wooden bridges at Vrelo Bosne announced, new infrastructure at Trebević and Bijambare

(Patria) - Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of KS Almir Bečarević and Director of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas Asad Jelešković signed the Agreement on Cooperation on the Implementation of Activities from the valid management plans for protected natural areas of KS.

This is a continuation of the successful cooperation between the Ministry and the Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas in implementing activities from the valid management plans for protected areas, the realization of which improves the management, protection, sustainable use and promotion of protected areas.

The total value of the agreement is BAM 377,000, of which the Ministry has provided BAM 300,000 from the Budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2023, while the remaining funds were provided by the Public Institution from its own resources.

The deadline for the realization of the planned activities under the agreement is November 2024.

Minister Bečarević emphasized that the agreement focuses on the segment of visitor management in protected areas, and in this regard, among other things, the reconstruction and renovation of wooden bridges at the "Vrelo Bosne" Nature Monument is planned.

It is also planned to equip the "Trebević" Protected Landscape with infrastructure for receiving visitors, while in the area of the "Bijambare" Protected Landscape, the establishment of a presentation pavilion with a speleo exhibition is planned, as well as the continuation of works on the construction of a wooden pedestrian path.
