Most Active MPs in the Federal Parliament for 2017

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to reports from the Centers for Civic Initiatives (CCI), the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH (PFBiH) held 19 sessions in 2017. Given that most sessions were held in continuations, the MPs convened a total of 30 times that year, writes the Patria agency.

As of December 31, 2017, procedures for 27 laws were completed in both houses of the PFBiH, with adoption in the same text in both houses of the PFBiH. Of the total 27 laws, 5 laws were adopted and considered under urgent procedure, 5 under abbreviated procedure, and 17 under regular procedure.

In 2017, the Parliament of the Federation of BiH realized 1 law less compared to 2016, and the same number of laws compared to 2015, when 27 laws were also realized.

For comparison, in 2013, 7 more laws were realized, and in 2009, as many as 22 more laws were realized compared to 2017.

In 2017, out of 98 MPs sitting in the representative benches, the most questions at the sessions of the Parliament of FBiH were asked by SDP MP Damir Mašić. He asked a total of 24 questions. He is followed by his party colleague Jasmina Zubić with 19 questions asked, and then DF MP Jasmin Kadić with the same number of questions asked. Head of the SDP Club Elvir Karajbić asked 18 questions. He is followed by Jusuf Bubić from BPS with 17 questions asked, then Amra Kunovac (DF) and Elma Đogić (LSBiH) with 14 questions each, and Faruk Čupina from SBB with 12 questions. MPs Mahir Mešalić and Saša Mitrović from DF asked 11 questions each, as did Vesna Švancer and Azra Hadžić from SBB. Independent MP Ilhan Bušatlić asked 10 questions during the 19 sessions of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH in 2017. Other MPs asked fewer questions. As many as 27 MPs did not ask a single parliamentary question in the entire year 2017.
