Sharp Increase in the Value of Sarajevo Osiguranje

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The largest insurance company in BiH, Sarajevo Osiguranje, has experienced explosive business growth, leading to its shares averaging 15 KM in August, which is almost three times higher than the average value from the past year, when the share value ranged from 5.5 KM to 7 KM, most often around 6 KM per share.

This is a consequence of the company's strong growth, which, despite strong competition, manages to maintain its leading position in the insurance market.

In the first six months of this year, Sarajevo Osiguranje more than doubled its net profit, and additionally increased its gross written premium by 15.1 percent to 36.5 million KM, after achieving 31.7 million KM a year earlier.

The company's capital and reserves increased to 32.9 million KM, after being 31.6 million KM last year.

Sarajevo Osiguranje has 487 employees and operates through eight business units/branches in BiH.

The Government of the Federation of BiH owns 45.5 percent of Sarajevo Osiguranje shares, and the remaining shares are owned by investment funds, companies, and individuals.

The largest insurance company in BiH, Sarajevo Osiguranje, got a new management in 2016, after which the company took the lead in the insurance market in BiH.
