JURISDICTION Why is the state waiting for the entities to agree on whether to open borders!?

(Patria) - At today's session of the BiH Council of Ministers, it was concluded that a decision on opening borders for citizens of Turkey, the USA, Russia, and China will be postponed until adequate positions from "competent authorities" are obtained.

As stated by the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Bisera Turković, they will wait for today's meeting between the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija and the entity prime ministers Fadil Novalić and Radovan Višković. It is known that Turković has had several gaffes before, which were even admitted by the SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović, justifying it by her lack of knowledge of the situation in BiH, given that she was abroad. But how much more ignorance must ministers in the Council of Ministers show for the parties to reprimand or dismiss them.

Experts in political affairs, as well as the BiH system, immediately concluded that what Turković said is a degradation of the state!

Such a premise would have been unimaginable to even say, let alone do, 10 years ago.

State authorities waiting for approval from a lower administrative unit for something that is exclusively within the jurisdiction of the state of BiH, and borders certainly are.

To recall, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina requested the Council of Ministers to open borders for citizens of Turkey, the USA, Russia, and China, and the Government of the Federation of BiH also adopted the initiative of the FBiH Ministry of Tourism and Environment, requesting the opening of borders.

"There is a diversity of views on this issue given the epidemiological situation," said Turković.

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Staša Košarac, said that this is a matter for experts, and that he believes it will be on the agenda of the next session of the BiH Council of Ministers.
