RS National Assembly Commission Annuls Election of Entity Election Commission Following BiH Constitutional Court Decision

(Patria) - The Commission for Elections and Appointments of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, at a session held on August 21, 2025, made a decision to annul the public competition for the election of the RS Election Commission.

This competition was previously annulled by the Constitutional Court of BiH, which determined that the RS Election Law is not in accordance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina because the contested law assumes the competencies of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The Public Competition for the Election of the Republika Srpska Election Commission of June 17, 2025, is annulled," it was announced on the RS National Assembly website.

The public competition was published in the Official Gazette of RS on June 20, 2025.

The annulment of the Public Competition will also be published in the Official Gazette of RS, "Glas Srpske," and on the website of the RS National Assembly.
