Employees Accuse Head of SIPA Regional Office Mostar of Mobbing, Drunk Driving of Official Vehicles

The Internal Control Department of SIPA, Director Perica Stanić, and previously Goran Zubac, have been informed in writing on multiple occasions about the behavior of the head of the SIPA Regional Office in Mostar, Željko Ćorić, Patria reports.

Among other things, employees accused Ćorić of mobbing, unprofessional behavior, coming to work drunk, and using official vehicles outside working hours, which he crashed several times while driving drunk, and this was covered up.

Furthermore, employees informed SIPA leadership about Ćorić's connections with certain criminal groups in the Herzegovina area, as well as indicative situations when certain SIPA operations failed because someone always tipped off those same criminal groups to prepare for the special forces' raid.

Who is Željko Ćorić? During the war, he was the commander of the HVO military police in Čapljina. After the war, his undeserved professional rise began, according to employees of the Regional Office he heads.

Until 1996, he worked in the MUP of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and was responsible for the border with Croatia. At that time, the Minister of the MUP of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton was Valentin Ćorić, who dismissed him due to smuggling across the border in the south of our country.

After that, Željko Ćorić moved to the Federal MUP, and then to the Border Police (then DGS).

While working in the Border Police, he was in charge of the Doljani border crossing. While working in that position, as employees wrote in their letters to the SIPA Internal Control, Ćorić enabled certain groups to smuggle across the border, and numerous persons accused of war crimes moved unhindered.

Dissatisfied with his work, they tried to remove him from the Border Police. Thanks to former SIPA director Mirko Lujić, Željko Ćorić came to a position in this state police agency, after the leaders of the Border Police decided to dismiss him from his position due to numerous illegal actions.

Lujić placed him in the War Crimes Department, and after that, he was appointed head of the SIPA Regional Office in Mostar. Željko Ćorić enjoys the protection of the very top of the HDZ BiH, and all letters sent to the Internal Control and to the SIPA director are either removed or dismissed as unfounded.

The SIPA Regional Office in Mostar cannot boast of good work results, precisely because of this behavior of its top man.
