Municipal Mayor Muzur presents awards and cash prizes to top UNSA students

(Patria) - Ilidža Municipal Mayor Nermin Muzur hosted a reception for recipients of the University of Sarajevo awards from the Ilidža municipality area.

Twelve students from the Faculties of Law, Economics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Music Academy, and the Faculty of Dentistry were awarded for their effort and achieved success. Mayor Muzur congratulated the students on their achievements and stated that the doors of the Ilidža Municipality are always open to them.

"This is a reward for their success and a sign of support for the future. Our wish is for the best students to become involved in the development of our local community, as they are its greatest asset, as well as that of our homeland," said Mayor Muzur.

The students thanked the mayor for the reception and for the support. They emphasized the importance of the attention given to top students in recent years, and stated that they view the cash prize as motivation and additional recognition for the exceptional success they achieved during their studies.

Abela Rastoder is a student at the Faculty of Law and a two-time recipient of the University of Sarajevo Gold Badge.

"It means a lot to me and it is a great honor to have the opportunity to be here for the second time as a recipient of this award. For us young people, it means a great deal when any level of government recognizes and rewards our work, whether it is a cash prize or employment for young people. It was a pleasure to be part of this reception, and this is motivation for further education and professional development," said Rastoder, recipient of the UNSA Gold Badge award.

The young people, many of whom were scholarship holders of the Ilidža Municipality during their studies, stated in conversation with the mayor that they see their future in our country, where they want to build professional careers. Some are already employed, while some of their colleagues have turned towards further training.

The mayor emphasized that these successful young people are a true source of pride for our local community.

Recipients of the University of Sarajevo Silver Badges from the Ilidža municipality area are Ajla Jonuz, Kerima Mašić, Vernesa Karović, Ishak Kušumović, Amina Agić, Amina Ajkunić, Iris Granulo, Sara Lendo, Rijad Šarić, Adel Nikšić, and Amna Omerović.
