Municipal Mayor Muzur hosts Federal Minister Dizdar, concrete cooperation agreed

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Nerin Dizdar visited the Ilidža Municipality, where he held a meeting with Mayor Nermin Muzur.

Numerous projects that the Ilidža Municipality is implementing are also of interest to higher levels of government, which is clear proof that good, dedicated and quality work in recent years has not gone unnoticed, it was emphasized at the beginning of the meeting.

- In addition to implementing and realizing several major capital projects in our local community, we have not forgotten, nor will we forget, our people living in the smaller BiH entity - said Mayor Muzur.



Given that humanitarian, health and psychosocial care for returnees is one of the strategic goals of the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, the minister in charge did not hide his satisfaction with the information provided by Mayor Muzur.

- We have strived to be a support to returnees in Srebrenica, Žepa, Bratunac, Čajniče, Rudo, Kijevo, and other local communities in both BiH entities - said the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality.

The minister in charge was informed about the population structure in the Ilidža area, which is why he announced that cooperation will be intensified in the coming period.

- The Ilidža Municipality is a place where a significant number of families come from returnee areas, and the entire territory of this local community is a returnee area. The Ministry, together with the Municipality, will determine priority projects to be co-financed in the coming period. The good cooperation between these two institutions will continue and intensify - said Dizdar.

In addition to supporting other local communities in our country, the Ilidža Municipality has also established cross-border cooperation with the Sjenica Municipality, where it helped implement several projects, and maintains good ties with the Union of the Bosniak Diaspora.



Minister Dizdar was particularly pleased with the established cross-border cooperation because the ministry he leads is formally and legally responsible for cooperation with the diaspora as well.

- I am glad that we have agreed on clear steps for concrete cooperation between the ministry and the Municipality - said Mayor Muzur, who on this occasion thanked Minister Dizdar for his visit to the Ilidža Municipality.
