Mayor Memić hosted a reception for scholarship students

The Ilidža Municipal Council, at the proposal of the Municipal Mayor, adopted a Decision on awarding scholarships to 320 talented pupils and students for the 2016/2017 school/academic year, in the total amount of 295,140 KM. The decision will provide scholarships to 120 high school pupils and 200 students, it was announced from the Municipality of Ilidža, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The monthly scholarship amount for first-year pupils and students is 78 KM, and for students from the second to the sixth year, it ranges from 96 to 120 KM depending on the achieved results in the previous year. Scholarships will be paid for ten months. The funds awarded as scholarships do not need to be repaid.

The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Prof. Dr. Senaid Memić, today hosted a reception and handed out scholarship agreements to talented pupils and students. The agreements were presented to the pupils and students by Denis Muhović, Assistant Mayor for Education, Culture, Sport and Information.

- Awarding scholarships to talented pupils and students is an investment in our future, and handing out scholarship agreements is my favorite obligation because you are our pride. Your only obligation is to continue learning and spend this modest amount of money wisely. I wish you a lot of luck in your further education - said Mayor Memić in his address to the pupils and students.
