Municipal Mayor Hadžibajrić receives Assembly Speaker Mirza Čelik and incoming Prime Minister Nenadić

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Municipal Mayor Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, MA, received today a visit from the Speaker of the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton Mirza Čelik and the candidate for the new Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Mario Nenadić. It was a working visit during which Čelik and Nenadić inquired about the projects implemented in the municipality of Stari Grad and those that are planned. Readiness was expressed for the Government of the Sarajevo Canton to continue supporting projects being implemented in this municipality, with the aim of ensuring the best possible living conditions for citizens.

Nenadić and Čelik expressed satisfaction with the projects carried out in Stari Grad, stating that they are familiar with most of what has been done in this municipality so far, and congratulated Mayor Hadžibajrić on the numerous investments visible on the ground.

Mayor Hadžibajrić informed the guests from the Canton that in the past year alone, investments worth 26.5 million convertible marks were realized in Stari Grad, with special emphasis on four capital projects (underground garage and multi-purpose square, sports hall, reconstruction of the Health Center and the administrative seat of the Municipality) worth 13.3 million KM.

He also highlighted the good cooperation with the competent ministries of the Sarajevo Canton and the Directorate for Roads of the Sarajevo Canton in the previous year on numerous projects that were jointly implemented, such as the rehabilitation of Ferhadija and Štrosmajerova streets, Zmajevac street, and others. Also, cooperation between the Municipality of Stari Grad and the Government of the Sarajevo Canton on the project of reconstructing the "Bulbul" Kindergarten has already been agreed for this year. There was also discussion about the plans of the Government of the Sarajevo Canton for other projects that will be implemented in Stari Grad, and guidelines were agreed upon that will be included in the future government's exposé.
