Mayor Bećirević visited the "Marriot Residence Inn" hotel and children's park

Mayor of Centar Municipality Dževad Bećirević visited the "Residence Inn by Marriott" hotel in Čobanija with his associates, where they were hosted by Enes Kazazić, director of South European Investment Company (SEIC), the project investor, and Mahir Katica, consultant at MLB Group d.o.o Sarajevo, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The construction of this facility is in its final phase, and representatives of the investor informed Mayor Bećirević about everything that has been done since September 23 last year, when the construction of the facility began.

Kazazić thanked Mayor Bećirević and the services of the Centar Municipality for their contribution to the realization of such a project in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- The Mayor and the services of the Centar Municipality have always been there for us as investors, and we are very grateful for that. Marriott representatives were very pleased not with the speed of construction, but with the speed at which the hotel will be put into operation. Between 400 and 500 workers from local companies worked on this facility during the past period, and domestic materials were used. Upon the opening of "Residence Inn by Marriott", 22 people will get jobs, and dozens of external associates will work with them - Kazazić emphasized.

Mayor Bećirević pointed out that such projects are very important for the Centar Municipality as well, and that all investors are welcome.

- We are pleased to see such projects because they bring new jobs. We can also boast that in the area of the Centar municipality, we have the first branded hotel in the region - said Bećirević.

As part of the construction of "Residence Inn by Marriott", a children's park with furniture was also arranged in Čobanija, where it was located before. 

The opening of "Residence Inn by Marriott" is planned for November 25, 2014, while the ceremonial opening of the park for all residents of Sarajevo is planned for Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at 10 AM.

"Residence Inn by Marriott", as a pioneer of the extended-stay hotel concept, will offer a new and different type of service in Sarajevo. There will be 73 equipped one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments available, with ergonomically designed workspaces, complimentary breakfast, and laundry services.
