Austrian robbed at Žuta tabija, pickpockets and thieves lurk in public transport

Tourists in Sarajevo are almost daily targets of robbers, and just this week citizens of the Czech Republic and Austria were robbed.

The Czech was robbed on Monday evening with a knife threat. His mobile phone and the money he had with him were stolen.

On Thursday morning in Jekovac Street near the famous tourist attraction Žuta tabija, a citizen of Austria was robbed.

An unknown robber, using a knife threat and physical force, stole a mobile phone and then fled in an unknown direction.

Due to the increased number of tourists who arrived in Sarajevo for the Sarajevo Film Festival, police presence on the streets of Sarajevo has been intensified.

Special attention should be paid when entering and exiting public transport, given the pickpockets and thieves who lurk for an opportunity and use the crowd to commit theft.
