Chaos continues on the streets of Paris due to fuel price hikes

(Patria) -  At least 224 people were arrested during the "yellow vests" protests in Paris on Saturday, following clashes with police, French media report, also citing a number of wounded.

Seven days after the violent gathering of French citizens against the increase in fuel prices by the "yellow vests," they once again flooded the French capital on Saturday.

As reported by Reuters, among those arrested are extremists from the far right and far left.

The authorities have called on the "yellow vests" to engage in dialogue with the government.

Due to the violence that spread across the French capital, about twenty metro stations and department stores in the city center were closed. French media report that destroyed and burned cars and barricades can be seen on the streets.

As reported by France Presse, 92 people were injured, including 14 police officers.
