A 10 by five meter flag with lilies was placed on a rock near Visoko

(Patria) - Members of the Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) Visoko yesterday, on the occasion of November 25, Statehood Day of BiH, placed the first flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina on a rock above the Fojnica River near the Visoko picnic area Ada na Buca.

The initiator of this form of celebrating Statehood Day is the Local Community (MZ) Buci, which financed the purchase of the flag, and GSS Visoko voluntarily carried out its placement.

- Lilies are the state symbol of Bosnian kings and the thousand-year existence of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is also an act by which we, in a way, show gratitude and honor to all the fighters from the Buci-Kralupi-Goduša-Tušnjići region who fought and died under this flag.

They made an immeasurable contribution to the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina from aggression in the period 1992-1995", announced MZ Buci for Visoko.co.ba.

Special thanks were extended to GSS Visoko members Adin Šehović, Samra Džafić, Ramiz Džafić, and mountain guide Ibrahim Kovačević "who carried out this challenging and demanding undertaking, as well as to all others who participated in this project".
Samra Džafić revealed to the Patria News Agency that the dimensions of the placed flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina are 10 by five meters.
