Episode "Warning" remains in effect

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Since early morning hours today, there has been a significant decrease in the concentration of pollutants in the air in all zones of Sarajevo Canton where the Plan of emergency measures in cases of excessive air pollution is being implemented.

Thus, this morning by 06:00 AM, the following average daily values were measured: Vijećnica 78.5, Otoka 45.5, Ilidža 34.1, and Ilijaš 208.2 µg/m3.

However, according to the weather forecast of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute, a renewed stabilization of weather is expected in the coming days, with light winds and no precipitation, with the possibility of temperature inversion.

Measured values began to fall yesterday, and this morning the trend of decreasing concentrations of pollutants in the air continued to a significant extent. Due to such weather conditions, it is certain that pollutants will accumulate in the air again, which is why it was decided that the episode "Warning" remains in effect.

The expert body for coordination and supervision of the implementation of the Plan of emergency measures will continue to continuously monitor the values of pollutants in the air, and together with the Government of Sarajevo Canton, will inform citizens about any possible changes.
