Member of the Armed Forces of BiH also in the scandalous photo from January 9

A photograph of a group of young men on Ravna Romanija, some of whom are in military uniforms and armed with automatic rifles, taken on January 9, 2016, on the occasion of the celebration of the unconstitutional Day of Republika Srpska, caused great attention on social networks, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The Patria editorial office was contacted by a reader who recognized one young man from the photograph, and it is Dejan Petrušić, an active soldier of the Armed Forces of BiH. The Patria agency sent a letter to the Ministry of Defense of BiH and the disputed photograph, seeking confirmation whether it is an employee of the Armed Forces of BiH and what action will be taken in this case. However, we have not yet received a response.

On Petrušić's Facebook profile, a video recording from August 2015 can be found, showing him driving a truck of the Armed Forces of BiH inside one of the barracks.

The young men in the photograph “celebrated” January 9 by firing weapons and patrolling the Sokolac-Mokro road.

The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Ministry of Security of BiH have also become involved in the case, verifying the authenticity of the photograph and working on identifying the individuals.

Carrying military weapons is prohibited for civilians and is a criminal offense punishable by law.
