682 members of the veteran population to go for rehabilitation in spas

 

Contracts for the provision of spa-climatic treatment and medical rehabilitation services for the veteran population of Sarajevo Canton for 2015 were signed today by the Minister for Veteran Affairs of Sarajevo Canton Muharem Fišo with the directors of Banja "Terme" Ilidža Ebrahim Rabari, JU for medical rehabilitation and spa treatment "Reumal" Fojnica Eldan Lokmić, and Public Health Institution "Aquaterm" Olovo Senad Selimović, reports the Patria News Agency.

For this purpose, the Ministry for Veteran Affairs of KS has allocated 725,040 KM. The spa-climatic treatment services will be used by 682 members of the veteran population, and they have been provided with a 15-day stay. An exception are war invalids-paraplegics for whom a 21-day stay has been provided.

As emphasized on this occasion, the provision of these services to the veteran population is a continuation of the successful cooperation between the Ministry for Veteran Affairs of KS and these institutions, and the quality of their services is gradually improving every year.

- This year, greater attention will be paid to the medical rehabilitation of this population, specifically paraplegics and quadriplegics, amputees, as well as members of the veteran population with neurological diseases or damage to the nervous system due to injuries, as well as those suffering from other serious illnesses that require this type of treatment, stated Minister Fišo.

Otherwise, the right to spa-climatic treatment for the veteran population of Sarajevo Canton is prescribed by the Law on Additional Rights of Fighters-Defenders of KS, it was announced from the KS Government.
