Donated 10,000 KM for Flooded Areas, but Refused to Reveal Name

Director of the Administrative and Legal Affairs Directorate of the Islamic Community's Rijaset, Ismail Smajlović, said in an interview with „Preporod“ that last year's floods in BiH confirmed that only faith has the power to connect, strengthen, and help resolve even the most difficult life situations, reports the Patria news agency.

He said that an individual donated as much as 10,000 KM to the account of the Islamic Community's Rijaset in BiH intended for aid to areas that were flooded or affected by landslides during May of last year, and that the humanitarian did not reveal their identity, signing only as NN.

- Only through faith, that is, the strength of iman, can one explain the donation of an amount we recorded at the Rijaset of 5.00 KM that has a first and last name, to larger amounts (10,000.00 KM) marked as NN... The donations to the Rijaset account had greater value than what was indicated by the monetary figures - said Smajlović.

During last year's May floods, the Islamic Community, with the help of the army, police, and civil services, made an invaluable contribution to saving human lives and property. With the funds of the Islamic Community of BiH and its members from the country and the world, several houses destroyed by last year's natural disasters have been rebuilt to date, writes Patria.
