Water on roads, snow in mountainous areas, caution advised while driving

(Patria) - Due to a major landslide, the M-17.5 Jablanica-Blidinje main road section is closed to all traffic.

Due to river flooding, traffic has been halted on the Bugojno-Kupres main road in the settlement of Poriče. Vehicles are being redirected through the settlement of Čipuljić.

Light to moderate snow is falling in the higher mountainous areas of western and southwestern Bosnia and is accumulating on the road surface. We highlight the following routes: Bosanski Petrovac-Drvar (Oštrelj), Livno-Glamoč-Mlinište, and Kupres-Šuica-Livno.

Fog is reducing visibility on the following routes: Bosansko Grahovo-Drvar, Ormanica-Gradačac, Živinice-Banovići-Ribnica, Živinice-Kladanj.

We draw attention to frequent rockfalls on the road, as well as fallen branches or trees due to strong wind gusts.

We appeal to drivers to be extremely cautious and to maintain a safe distance between vehicles. Do not set out on the road without winter equipment.

Repair work is underway on a landslide at the Sijeračke stijene location on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road, where traffic will be halted for up to 45 minutes between 08:00 and 17:00.

Works are also ongoing on the following sections: Semizovac-Olovo, Zavidovići-Vozuća (at the Krivaja location), Jajce-Crna Rijeka, Bileća-Trebinje (at the Žudojevići site), Gacko-Foča (at Sastavci), as well as at the entrance to Neum.

At border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles are currently short.

Due to passenger registration under the new system for entering and leaving European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer waiting times at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tonnes maximum permissible mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 tonnes are being redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses may use the Šepak border crossing. Freight vehicles may travel via the Šepak border crossing from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends, they may cross during the 22:00 to 06:00 period).
