Private hospital worth 100 million KM to be built in Novi Grad municipality

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality, Semir Efendić, said today that the number of employed people at the end of December this year was higher than 39,749 employed by place of residence from the Novi Grad municipality, while FBiH has a total of 520,000 employed.

"Novi Grad Municipality has the largest number of employed people, followed by Tuzla with 31,000, Mostar with 28,000, Zenica with 27,000, Novo Sarajevo with 23,000, etc. Therefore, Novi Grad Municipality has by far the largest number of employed people, and when it comes to the growth dynamics of the number of employed people since 2012 by employer's seat, in December of that year, Novi Grad Municipality had 22,260 employed, and in December 2020, 30,350, which is a growth of 8,090 jobs in Novi Grad municipality, meaning 1,000 jobs annually," said Mayor Efendić.

He reminded that Novi Grad Municipality was in 25th place according to the development index of municipalities in FBiH in 2012, while in 2019 it reached fifth place.

He cited another piece of data from the Tax Administration, related to the turnover of fiscal devices, which shows that Novi Grad Municipality is far ahead of all others in the Federation of BiH, and in the first 11 months, the turnover of fiscal devices amounted to 3 billion and 68 million, followed by Ilidža Municipality with 2 billion and 720 million.

He added that the development was achieved, among other things, thanks to significant municipal investments in infrastructure, as well as investments from the economy in the construction of business and residential infrastructure.

"Novi Grad Municipality has become a desirable place for all investors and the only one in the Canton of Sarajevo that possesses the so-called BFC (Business Friendly Certificate) from international organizations, which confirms that this is a Municipality whose doors are open to all who want to work and do business," said Efendić.

He thanked the citizens for their patience in the difficult year of 2020, and added that he is not too worried about the challenges faced by the economy this year, but he is concerned about the health of the citizens.

When it comes to future projects, Efendić highlighted the growth trend of the automotive industry in the Rajlovac area, announcing the opening of new facilities for the production of auto parts in this settlement, where new employments are planned.

As another important project, Efendić stated that the construction of a private General Hospital, worth more than 100 million KM, will soon begin in Novi Grad, which will also employ hundreds of highly educated medical staff.
