SIPA finds 216 shells in Modriča area

(Patria) - Taking measures and actions within its jurisdiction, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) discovered a larger quantity of explosive ordnance in the Modriča area, it was announced from SIPA.

During this operation, the following explosive ordnance was discovered:

- 120 mm mortar shells, 49 pieces;
- 82 mm mortar shells, 95 pieces;
- 60 mm mortar shells, 72 pieces;
- Fuses for the corresponding mortar shells, 110 pieces;
- Additional propellant charges for the corresponding mortar shells.

"Activities within this case are continuing, and the discovered explosive ordnance will be deposited in the auxiliary warehouse of the Republican Civil Protection Administration of Republika Srpska in the barracks of the Armed Forces of BiH, Manjača. We thank the officers of the Republican Civil Protection Administration of Republika Srpska and the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska for their assistance during the implementation of the above-mentioned activities," stated SIPA.
