Woman and man arrested in Centar area, drugs, scales, money seized

(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, carried out operational activities aimed at documenting criminal offenses of unauthorized trafficking of narcotic drugs.

During searches conducted in the area of the Centar municipality, several different packages containing a substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug speed, with a total mass of approximately 350 grams, were found and seized; one package containing a substance that visually resembles the narcotic drug marijuana, with a total mass of approximately 70 grams, several tablets visually characteristic of the narcotic drug ecstasy; a digital scale, cash in various denominations, and other items of interest to the investigation.

A woman, N.H.M. (1989) from Rovinj, was deprived of her liberty on grounds of suspicion that she committed the criminal offense of Possession and Enabling the Use of Narcotic Drugs (Article 239, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of FBiH), and a man, E.M. (1989) from Sarajevo, on grounds of suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of FBiH).

The arrested individuals are undergoing criminal processing at the official premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, after which they will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton.
