(Patria) - Complete remains of two victims of the past war were exhumed today at the Grahovci site, Kiseljak municipality. According to information available to the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is presumed that the remains could belong to victims of Bosniak nationality who disappeared in this area in 1993.

The remains were recently noticed by citizens who were excavating at this site, and they immediately contacted the police and the Institute for Missing Persons to inform them of the case.

Upon the arrival of an expert team at the scene, it was determined that they were human remains, and a procedure was immediately initiated with the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to obtain an exhumation order as soon as possible.

The remains of the victims will be transferred to the morgue of the "Prahulje" cemetery in Travnik, where criminal-technical and forensic medical processing will take place, as well as the collection of bone samples for the purpose of determining the victims' identities through DNA analysis.

The exhumation was carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, by order of the Court of BiH, and was attended by an investigator from the Institute, a pathologist, anthropologists from the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), workers and machinery, as well as local police who secured the exhumation site.
