Mass grave discovered at Budak site, search for genocide victims ongoing

SREBRENICA, (Patria) - An expert team from the Institute for Missing Persons yesterday began searching the Budak site in Srebrenica, i.e., a mass grave containing the remains of killed Bosniaks in July 1995.

Lejla Čengić, spokesperson for the Institute for Missing Persons, confirmed to the Patria agency that activities to find the remains continued today.

- In the earlier period, two mass graves of genocide victims were found at this site.

From two mass graves, on two occasions, the remains of 250 victims of the Srebrenica genocide were exhumed.

Already next month, on July 11, a funeral prayer and burial of nearly 30 identified genocide victims will be held at the Potočari Memorial Center.
