ON SITE Isolatorium at Podhrastovi, lights on and a ghostly sight

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Podhrastovi Pulmonary Diseases Clinic in Sarajevo looks somewhat ghostly, as the Patria team saw for themselves when they went to tour the area near the isolatorium, after receiving unofficial information that there are indeed patients there. 

We saw for ourselves on site that the isolatorium is ready, and after waiting for several hours, we confirmed that apart from the medical staff, there was no circulation of other people. So far, 144,000 people worldwide have been infected with the coronavirus. The number of infected people in our country is now 18.

The Minister of Health of Sarajevo Canton, Rusmir Mesihović, also told Patria that there are no patients in the isolatorium. We remind you that the transfer of patients by ambulance vehicles was carried out earlier, and the patients were transferred to the premises of the old surgery department of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

The crisis headquarters at the FBiH level decided that the isolatorium would be located in Podhrastovi. 

The fact that someone has been in a crisis area does not mean they are sick, but they should be in isolation for 14-15 days. If no symptoms develop, they are released from isolation. If symptoms appear, a mobile team that works 24 hours a day is also called by phone, and they come to the apartment with special equipment and examine the patients.
