On the wings of the phenomenal Čampare, BiH defeated France

In the first match of the A division European Championship, the U-18 junior national team of BiH defeated France with a score of 66:65.

The French started the match better, leading 5:0. In the first three minutes, BiH scored only two points, both by Čampare and Čerkezović. The Dragons took their first lead in the 6th minute, Čampara hit a three-pointer for 11:12. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 20:17.

The response from Boris Džidić's players came in the second quarter. Although France had a five-point lead at 5:29 before the end of the first half (28:23), a 11:0 run by the BiH national team followed, with Janković scoring for a 6-point lead at 2:24 before the end of that period. The first half ended with the Dragons leading 33:34.

In the third quarter, the game was mostly played basket for basket, and neither team managed to gain a significant advantage. The last quarter started with a score of 51:50 for France.

France was better at the start of the third quarter, Beyhurst scored for 59:53 with 4:41 left. However, as reported by Sportske.ba, on the wings of the phenomenal Čampare, BiH managed to come back and take a 59:61 lead with 1:21 left. BiH entered the last minute with a six-point lead and ultimately recorded a great victory for a strong start to the European Championship.

The best player for the BiH team was Čampara with 32 points, and Janković was also effective with ten points. For the French, Briki was the best with 13 points.
