Not a single MRI machine is working at KCUS, but management remains silent: Patients are being referred to the General Hospital

A large number of patients who were supposed to undergo MRI and other examinations at the Clinic for Radiology of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo today were turned away or referred to the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš“ because all the machines are broken, the KCUS confirmed to the Patria agency.

When asked when the machines would be repaired, we were told that all examinations and appointments are suspended until further notice.

The management of KCUS, which usually boasts about its successes and innovations, did not feel the need to inform the public and patients about the new situation. Many patients already have difficulty reaching KCUS, let alone now having to go from one hospital to another.

It should not be forgotten how quickly KCUS issued a press release when the same situation occurred at the General Hospital. At that time, KCUS Director Sebija Izetbegović used it to emphasize that KCUS is at the disposal of patients. This time, she did not issue a statement that patients can receive services at the General Hospital.

The Director of the General Hospital, Zlatko Kravić, did not want to discuss the current situation at all.
