25,800 voters turned out for Prijedor elections, SNSD already celebrating with Dodik arriving

(Patria) - All polling stations for the early mayoral elections in Prijedor closed at 7:00 PM. According to information from the election headquarters of the SNSD candidate, Slobodan Javor is leading. SNSD President Milorad Dodik also arrived in Prijedor.

By 7:00 PM, approximately 25,800 voters had cast their ballots, which is 31 percent of the total number of eligible voters, the City Election Commission announced.

A total of 86,329 citizens had the right to vote. There were 14 candidates in the race for the mayor's seat. What characterized these extraordinary elections for the mayor of Prijedor was the extremely low voter turnout.

By 3:00 PM, 18,812 voters had cast their ballots, which is 22.57 percent of the total number of eligible voters.

The vote count is underway. The election day was not marred by major irregularities.

The Central Election Commission of BiH announced that they will release the first preliminary incomplete election results tonight by 10:30 PM.

Goran Predojević, the DNS candidate supported by both PDP and SDS, received approximately 31 percent of the votes counted so far.
