At Wigemark's initiative: Representatives of parliamentary parties again on the Election Law

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On Thursday at 2 PM in Sarajevo, a meeting of representatives of parliamentary parties in BiH will be held at the initiative of the head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, to discuss amendments to the Election Law, given the increasingly short deadline for necessary changes. 

Nermin Nikšić, president of the SDP BiH, said at today's press conference that he will not allow anyone to use the SDP as an alibi for why an agreement on the Election Law was not reached, given that this party previously announced its withdrawal from the negotiations.

- Tomorrow, a meeting regarding the Election Law will be held again, to which representatives of all political parties participating in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH have been invited. You know that the SDP withdrew from those talks, that we did not participate for a while. At the request, initiative, and persistent calls of representatives of the international community, we will go to those talks tomorrow, respond, and express our views. We will see if anything has changed while we were not participating - said Nikšić.

Meanwhile, today the US Ambassador Maureen Cormack held meetings with members of the BiH Presidency, Dragan Čović and Bakir Izetbegović, at which it was emphasized that only a solution that has the consent of all parliamentary parties is acceptable, and that it is necessary to continue the political dialogue.
